Purpose
The purpose of Folk Music Society of Midland (Michigan) is: To promote interest and educate the public in traditional music, folklore, and dance; To provide a forum for musicians and dancers with an interest in traditional music; To provide services to the community via sponsorship of concerts, festivals, and workshops designed to maintain these traditional heritages and values. We are an affiliate of the Country Dance and Song Society, which qualifies us as a non-profit organization under the IRS 501 (c)(3) tax code.

Dance Information
ConcertsThe winter concert will be February 5, 2010, and feature Kari Bodman and Friends and Young Fiddlers For Fun. It will be held in the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library

Dow Gardens will Feature FMSM Musicians
The Folk Music Society of Midland and the Dow Gardens will present some lovely Sunday events. The 2010 dates are May 2, June 6, July 4, and August 1, from 4 - 6 p.m. Check back for more information.
